Drive Electric NWA is a free community event focused on educating the public about the growing importance of electric vehicles and e-bikes.

The event will be held on Saturday, September 30, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Pinnacle Hills Promenade in Rogers. There is a rain date of Saturday, October 7.

For the second year in a row, Canoo will be participating by having a vehicle available for the public to check out. “We’ve added new wrinkles and sponsors that’ll make the Drive Electric NWA bigger and better, but having Canoo back this year is a terrific win,” said Rob Smith of the Northwest Arkansas Council, the nonprofit that’s the primary organizer of Drive Electric NWA. “People want to see the Canoo vehicles up close, sit in them, and dream what it might be like to own one someday.

In addition to Canoo, electric vehicle manufacturer Envirotech will attend. Car dalersships selling electric Fords and Chevrolets will be present, and the Tesla Owners Club of Arkansas will be showing off vehicles made by Tesla, Rivian, Kia and Volkswagen.

This year's Drive Electric NWA will feature a variety of activities, including:

  • Test rides in electric vehicles

  • Information about electric vehicle charging stations

  • Test rides on electric bikes

  • Information from vehicle owners about the benefits of electric transportation

  • Children's face painting and balloon animals

  • Food truck and ice cream vendor

The event is open to everyone, and there is no charge to attend.

In addition to learning about electric vehicles and e-bikes, attendees will also have the opportunity to win a prize. The grand prize is a $2,500 credit for purchases from event sponsors that go toward powering up electric-based transportation.

Drive Electric NWA is a great opportunity to learn about the latest in electric transportation and see a Canoo for yourself; what more could you ask for on a beautiful Saturday afternoon?

So mark your calendars and join other EV fans and Canooers on September 30 for a day of fun and education!
