Earlier this month Canoo submitted a new VIN Decoder filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration(NHTSA).
Although this doesn't let us know for sure if Canoo has self-certified with crash testing information, it does give us some insights on future models and variants including a 4-Door Pick Up truck.
LV = Lifestyle Vehicle (passenger) LDV = Lifestyle Delivery Vehicle
LDV+ = Lifestyle Delivery Vehicle Plus
PK = Pick Up
New Variants and Trims:
LDV Base Trim, Government Sales Variant, 149kW output RWD with 2 seats, 3 doors.
LDV Base Trim, Test & Validation Variant, 149kW output RWD with 2 seats, 3 doors.
LDV+ Base Trim, LDV+ Squareback, 149kW output, RWD with 2 seats, 3 doors.
LV, Premium Trim, Government Sales Variant, 205kW output, RWD with 7 seats, 4 doors.
LV, Mid Trim, NASA Variant.
PK, 4 Door Pickup Trim, 80kWh battery pack, 512kW output AWD with 5 seats, 4 doors.
PK, Pickup Trim, 80kWh battery pack, 512kW output AWD and/or RWD with 2 seats, 2 doors.
This doesn't really give us much to go off of so don't get too excited as we don't even have any idea on pricing or delivery dates, but it is exciting to know they're still working on innovative designs and ideas. It also gives an offical name to LDV they've shown off a few times with the square rear and additional cargo room, the LDV Plus. We wonder how many more chicken sandwiches it can carry over the original LDV.
